KURT SCHWITTERS IN NORWAY
www.hok.no/
This is the first major exhibition of works by the German artist Kurt Schwitters (1887-1948) that has ever been shown in Norway. And it is also the first time that Schwitter’s visits to Norway are the theme of an exhibition. The event has come about as a research project in collaboration with Sprengel Museum – the institution owning the largest number of works by Schwitters in its collection. The exhibition will consist of around 120 works focusing not only on the periods he spent in Norway, but also works that throw light on all aspects of his art.
Responsible for the exhibition: Karin Hellandsjø in collaboration with Sprengel Museum, Hannover.
Curator: Karin Orchard
